Our approach to GDPR
HeroHunt.ai is built for professional recruitment, and respecting the people in our index is core to how we operate. We only process publicly available professional information that is intended for professional use, and we give candidates clear rights and an easy way to be removed.
Public information, professional purpose
The profiles surfaced through HeroHunt.ai come from sources where professionals have chosen to make their work information public, such as professional networks and developer communities. We use this data to help recruiters reach relevant candidates about genuine professional opportunities, which is a recognised legitimate interest under the GDPR.
We do not process special categories of personal data, and we do not use the data for any purpose other than professional recruitment.
Lawful basis
Our processing of candidate data relies on the legitimate interests of recruiters and candidates in connecting around professional opportunities, balanced against the rights and freedoms of the individuals concerned. For customer account data, our basis is performance of our contract with you.
Candidate rights
Every individual has the right to access, correct, or erase their data, to object to processing, and to restrict it. We make it straightforward to exercise these rights: email info@herohunt.ai and we will action removal or other requests in line with the GDPR.
For our customers
When you use HeroHunt.ai, you are responsible for using candidate data lawfully and for honouring opt-out requests. We provide the tooling and the data processing terms to support compliant outreach, and we act as your processor for the data you handle in the app.
